Welcome to the Before the Bridge Dog and Cat Rescue and Sanctuary Page!
Since my artwork and my rescue go hand in hand, I thought it was time to add this to my page! We currently house 21 dogs, 15 cats and we also have a miniature horse named Luna!
Please enjoy the photos! I have awesome photos of each of our babies and I will also add some information on each pup! Donations are ALWAYS appreciated and do go directly to our Before the Bridge bank account and donations are also tax deductible!

Aruna
Aruna is available for adoption!
Aruna is a mixed breed, shepherd mix. She and her sister were found at our local Lowe's. They were so little and scared to death of us! Aruna is a sweet girl, with an awesome temperament. She plays well with others and has a blast with her sister, Star. She loves to be in the pool, eating cookies and being right in the middle of where you are walking!

Star is Aruna's sister. She is a sweet, but shy girl, who plays rough with other dogs. She gets along with other animals, for the most part, but she makes a lot of noise, which can be scary! She is also a goofball!

Casey
Casey is a small girl, with a HUGE personality! She was picked up from a ditch, by a very kind woman, after a storm. We all thought she was 2 months old, but she was actually 4! She was already getting some of her adult teeth. We have had Miss Casey for close to 8 years now, and she hasn't slowed down one bit. She would make a great running partner, or even an agility dog! Despite her age, she is very spry and full of life!

Zena
Zena and her siblings (two sisters, Merry and Flora. The 3 good faeries from Sleeping Beauty) came to Before the Bridge at a very young age. All sisters were adopted, at one point, but Zena and Merry were returned, sadly. Zena has an autoimmune disorder, called Pemphigus. It affects her skin and she is on prednisone, daily, to keep it under control. Zena is a talker! She loves letting people know her opinion and her sister usually sets her off lol! She is a sweet girl, who loves being watered, with the hose and getting a drink, while you are filling up her bucket.

Blaze
Blaze was picked up, by a good Samaritan and brought to my vet clinic, in Dallas, Tx. She is a sweet, sweet girl and loves getting attention! Blaze did have a stroke, several years ago, so she is not the most sturdy dog. But, she gets around and enjoys her time out in the yard.

Rooster
Ahh, Rooster! AKA, The Fat Man. Rooster was just a puppy, when I pulled him from a local kill shelter. At the time, any and all bully breeds were considered unadoptable and were, therefore, put to sleep. I managed to get Rooster out of that place and have had him ever since. He is 12 years old and in awesome shape, considering his age! He has a select group of playmates, that he has known for a long time. He loves rolling over for belly rubs and being a general derp.

Oh, Lil Mama. How I loved this girl. I pulled her from the Rowlett shelter, back in 2010. She was thin, didnt have much hair then either and she was pregnant. She lost most of her litter, but the pups that made it, she was a great Mom to. She wasn't fond of cats, frequently tried to eat my mini horse, but she loved making sure she said hi to her son, Roly. She is very sorely missed, but will always, always be loved.

He had only a few tufts of hair and it took months for it to grow back. But look at what a handsome boy he turned out to be! His nickname was either Tank, or Mr Twiddles. He is also very missed here.
